@Sanctified Spaces, thank you :) I have a 4 year old point and shoot Sony Cyber-shot (10.1 mega pixels -3.3-5.3/5-25 lens) camera. I use their close up /macro with steady hand feature and no flash which means I don't need the stand to shoot. The camera also has a feature to blur the background which obviously I didn't use it this time. The camera is really small and I tend to throw it in my purse all the time. I think having it handy has done the trick for me. Digital means I don't have to scrimp on my shots, check, and shoot with abandon before moving on :) . Hope that helps.

I always love your photos and it is nice to see another sign of spring. And Thoreau is so right. The more I paint the better I see and the better I see the better my paintings get. (At least I hope so!)

Thanks Kathy! Yes, its true that we see better when we sketch, draw or paint. When we learn to see, not just look, is when we don't see a pesky weed --only beauty:)
