Repurposed 12x16" watermedia by Meera Rao
One day in April while on my daily walk (before the fractured foot!) I came across a lush green plant growing inside an abandoned and marooned falling apart boat . I just loved the resilience of the plant and the colors still hanging on to the boat. There was so much drama and beauty! Nature never hesitates to creatively repurpose :)
I used transparent watercolors, casein, and watercolor pencils.

Hi Meera, yes this is an interesting phenomena how nature plants things in some of the oddest places to amaze us. I always like the little trees and flowers that often grow on the sides of building ledges or window sills in the city where there are little to no plants and trees growing. Autumn is catching up with us. Soon we'll see all the wonderful color of the forest. I hope yours is wonderful.
you have a great eye to catch a subject! well done!
Hi Meera
I had a long break from Blogging (family deaths and lack of motivation) but we're about to head off for India again which prompted me to look back at the blog I did last year when we travelled in India.
I know you commented on many posts but at the time I was struggling to keep up and had problems with Firefox so I didn't respond to your comments ... sorry about that.
Hope you're well. I'm kind of back into blogging again so hope to drop by now and again. The Blogging world seems to be shrinking in favour of FB these days!
