A Day in the Life Sketchbook project 2011 page 26 G-2 pen
I realized that I had forgotten to post the last few pages of my sketchbook project for Art House Co-op from 2011- A Day in the Life -In Blue Jeans with Gold Embroidery. One thing that came to be clear during the writing/illustrating of that project was that as in painting I found myself wrestling with wrapping up the narrative - ending that neither stops short of a resolution or overdone :) Eventually I followed Frank Herbert's advice : “There is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stop the story.”

I hope to make a page in this blog for the book so it can be read from front to back. Now clicking on this link gives all the posts on the sketchbook that I have posted - from most recent to the oldest making you read it backwards :) - unless you go the oldest post first and scroll up! Meanwhile, let me know what you think of my project - the illustrations, the writings.

I quite enjoyed the pages from your sketchbook you posted while you were working on the project. I look forward to the ones I missed!
I enjoyed your thoughts since I relate to what exactly you say. I loved the Om sketch , all in cools blue, looks really peaceful in co relation of receiving a truth..
Padmaja, Thank you! Blue felt a natural and only color to pick up for it -- I am wondering now reading your comment what influence seeing blue as the color of infinity in the Indian philosophy, mythology, and art had on my decision!
Thank you Hema! I think I only have a couple of 'appendix' like 'In case you are wondering' pages left which I will add in the 'pages' section soon. Now i am itching to start another project :)
I really love this project Meera. I hope you do make a tab so we can see it front to back, that would be so cool. :)
Thanks Crystal, Hope to do it soon!
Belo trabalho... Espectacular....

I love your sketchbook from beginning to end. I think it would be great to have it posted together.
The sentiments on the last page are so true! It is the journey we are on that keeps on going and going and going!
You really have the talent to stick to a project from beginning to end. Bravo!!!
Thank you Fernando :)
Kathy, Thank you so very much! Deadlines are necessary for me to stick to a project :) I will get them together soon!
I love the sketch book art, the blues in the pattern are beautiful.
Thank you so much, Edgeworth Jonhstone :) I am happy that you too like the patterns :)
