Somewhere between Chennai and Bangaluru digital photography
Half the fun of travel for me is the unexpected surprises I find as I look of the window of the car, bus, train or plane. What do you think is the story of this man with the pink umbrella who is sitting on the train tracks? I couldn't stop my imagination from running wild the rest of my train ride :)

You remind me of my sis, she is on constant look out for such scenes when she visits India!
Hope this guy is not one of those that play with the bolts and nuts of the rails but just relaxing with the shade of the umbrella :-)
I guess certain things catches my eye now more than it did in earlier days :) and yes I kept hoping he was just resting since these things now put my imagination in overdrive!!!
Great photo. Your imagination is wonderful.
That is a fantastic photo! I'm already wondering what this guys story is! I think you should tell us what you think it is. :)
His burning thoughts about tomorrow... Simple and nice.
Thank you Kathy- always appreciate your comments!
Crystal, - its more fun to just wonder and let the imagination run wild :)
@Thaikaden, I think you are absolutely right about that!!!
You bring up so many memories... On my latest trip to India, if I had one regret it was that I was able to ride the train only once, that too overnight. So, most of that time I was asleep, and by the time I woke up we were almost at our destination...
That pink umbrella is so vivid in all the drabness of the surrounding corroded metal!
Thank you Hema :) This time I had 2nd class tickets -which meant no dirty window panes between my camera and the world outside!!!
I had been out of touch with your blog (rather the entire blog-o-sphere as such for various reasons) in the last one year and have now realized how much quality and inspiration I've missed! Today I tracked this article down as the last article I'd glanced upon. Tonight, will browse though the articles since then!
As for this person's story, I feel it is as colorful yet as much of a mismatch as his umbrella's color in the stark surroundings. He is sitting on lines that change tracks often, and I feel that his life's path would have been resonating this fact!
