China Town Gate, Washington D.C.
I have been down with fever. So, a sketch from a few days ago to the rescue :) I also want to share a saying that I think fits my feelings about making art:
I have never started a poem yet whose end I knew. Writing a poem is discovering. -Robert Frost, poet (1874-1963)

Hope you feel better soon.
Nice sketch of the gate.
Thanks ! I am slowly recovering! Glad to hear from you :)
I hope you feel better soon meera! And your sketch is so lively. I really like it. Beautiful marks! And that is my new all time favorite quote.
Anyhting Robert Frost says is right in my book :). And I agree -- practising any kind of art is discovering your self and the world around you.
Very intricate sketch -- I thought it was of one of the entrances of the Forbidden City and didn't understand what the U.S flag was doing there (until I read your caption)! :)
Hope you feel better soon!
I hope you're feeling better. You are becoming quite the sketch artist.
thank you, Crystal! I seem to discover new quotes by him all the time :)
Hema, Thanks :) The last few months by chance I have seen China Towns in a few cities in USA and I am amazed at the intricate designs!
Thanks Kathy :) I am still battling a hacking cough --hope to feel my normal self again soon!
Don't worry. You will be O.K. within 2 days.
Hope you are feeling better Meera, I know how we discover ourselves more with each creative work we do!
Thank you, Thaikaden. I think your wishes are working :)
Padmaja, isn't that amazing that there is always more to discover :)
Ah, Robert Frost! The person who gave the idea of choosing the "path less traveled by", is one of my favorite poets. The line you've shared is so true, not just with art, but even with life in general.
I hope you are doing better health-wise. Take care!
Thanks Nikhil! Yes, 'path less traveled by' but more discoveries :)
